Recently, Tré was badly burned in a horrible gas explosion while working at a music show in Mexico.
A propane tank in the event kitchen was knocked over and started leaking heavily, putting many in extreme danger. Tré smelled the gas leak and understood what he had to do. While most people ran from the leak, Tré heroically ran inside the tent and turned off the gas valve, preventing a massive explosion that could have killed multiple people.
Tragically, the gas that had already leaked ignited, burning more than 50% of Tré's body with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Tré has been in ICU for nearly 2 months and has had multiple surgeries.
Thankfully Tré is alive, healing and doing physical therapy on his long road to recovery.
We are thankful to have Tré's team cooking at Amp Jam this year. Also at Amp Jam are hundreds of musicians, staff members, fans and others that have been touched and nourished by Tré over many years at Suwannee and elsewhere. We are honored to host this fundraiser for Tre. 100% of funds collected will go towards Tré and his beautiful family.
